W. Boylston to Gardner
Martha’s Vineyard

In 1933, 64 was used for what is now MA 140 from West Boylston to Gardner. This numbering was replaced between 1936 and 1939.

Also is rumored to have appeared on the Vineyard in the 50’s and 60’s. Does not appear on any maps that I have found. However, my 1959-60 state highway map includes a construction update map which appears to shows all the state routes. Included on this map are a loop around Martha’s Vineyard, using State Road, South Road, Edgartown West Tisbury Road, Edgartown Oak Bluffs Road, Beach Road and North Road, among others. It also shows a Milestone Road on Nantucket. Whether this is 64 (and some other mystery route) remains to be seen.
