Fall River to Randolph via Taunton and Brockton.

Multiplexed with MA 79 north of Fall River into Freetown.
Brief multiplex with I-195 in Fall River.

24 was originally used to connect Harwichport to Brewster. This route is now numbered MA 124. It appeared as early as 1933. It stayed out there for quite some time; the highway now numbered as 24 appears on my maps as existing from Fall River to Taunton in 1953 and to Brockton in 1956, but has no number. Until 1959, when it shows as completed highway up to MA 128. The road on the Cape is renumbered to 124 at that time as well.
