Multiplex with MA 122 in Worcester, then joins MA 9 / MA 12 multiplex. Remains with 12 when 9 splits off.
Multiplex with MA 146 in Worcester.

Long enough to be its own route. Has run basically the same route since 1930. However, for a while (at least 1966 until 1972), 122A used I-290 and what would become I-190 from Quinnipiac St to West Boylston St.
